Chatham
Kennedy, LMSW, is thrilled to join the Healing Harmony Health and
Wellness team, providing trauma care to individuals from diverse age
ranges and backgrounds. She brings enthusiasm, compassion,
authenticity, creativity and relatability to the therapeutic
relationship. Chatham has extensive background working with victims
of human trafficking on both the national and international levels.
She also works with people who are recovering from broken homes and
broken families, sexual violence, depression, anxiety, body image,
substance use, and gun violence.
Chatham’s experience with advocating for legislative poverty initiatives has helped cultivate her therapeutic framework. She utilizes an evidence-based approaches with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and focuses on rewiring the brain after trauma to help support a client find agency in life again. Chatham also integrates a holistic model of treatment and uses creative expression in her healing work.
Chatham graduated with a minor in English and her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Mississippi State University. She received her Master’s in Social Work from The University of Alabama with a concentration in working with children, adolescents, and their families. Chatham holds a certificate in Trauma-Informed Child Advocacy.
