Some of Alease’s areas of expertise include working with minorities, especially women of color, and people who struggle with depression, post-partum depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, self-esteem, work environment stress, life adjustment issues, academic performance, and generalized stress. Alease is trained in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to treat long standing trauma, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Her approach to therapy is strengths-based, and she helps you focus on internal strengths and resourcefulness.
Alease is licensed in Washington, D.C., and Maryland, and holds a Master’s in Social Work from The Catholic University of America. She is a member of the National Association of Christian Social Workers, and the National Association of Black Social Workers in the D.C. Metro Chapter.
