Giavanna Combs joins the Healing Harmony Health and Wellness team, bringing an optimistic, insightful, authentic, and compassionate approach to her clinical work. She explores with clients all elements of what makes up a client, bringing a client-centric approach, and creating a wholesome picture to support a client on their wellness journey. Giavanna utilizes empathy and holistic strategies to build rapport with her clients, fostering a feeling of safety and support with her clients.
Giavanna enjoys working with adolescents, teenagers, young adults and adults. She works with clients in helping clients navigate relationship difficulties, adjustment issues, relationship challenges, navigate life transitions, adjustments from loss of job, adjustments from lost and broken relationship connections, substance use recovery in adolescence and adults, build resilience and identity, anxiety, depression, stress, identity issues, school and performance issues, adjustment and challenges in adolescence, social-emotional learning and management, and workplace trauma.
Giavanna received my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville and also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Pan-African Studies from UofL. She is both trained and uses the Seven Challenges curriculum, DBT-based activities, CBT strategies, mindfulness strategies, holistic strategies, narrative and expressive tools, empowerment building, and strength-focused exercises to help clients reflect on their experiences and explore ways to move forward.
